A few years ago, Montegrappa first launched the Extra Otto model, in 3 materials. Now, in 2018, they added two materials, namely Lapis (the pen we’ll review in the video) and Butterfly, what is a dark blue.
The Extra Otto pen is rather similar to the Extra 1930 in size and specifications, but where the Extra 1930 is a round pen, the Extra Otto has an octagonal shape (eight flat sides). A shape which is also in Montegrappa’s style, as seen on for example the nibs.
The Montegrappa Extra Otto has a large 18k gold nib with ebonite feed, a piston filling mechanism, is made out of celluloid and is limited to 888 pieces.
Hope you will enjoy the video in which we show the pen and a writing sample.
