Great quality especially for the price.

What I like about this pen:- This pen is stunning. Its color is darker than what the images here show (I am using a calibrated monitor) and the gold trim really elevates it to a more classic design, despite the ""fun"" color of the material. I also like the clip quite a bit, the ro
- The pen is, for the most part, well made. The gold rings sit flush with the resin and nothing looks off.
- The nib, an Extra Fine in this case, is a joy to write with. It has a tiny bit of spring to it and minimal line variation. It is also the smoothest EF nib I've had the pleasure to write with, and I did have a Faber Castell steel EF nib until very recent
- The converter feels like really good quality. I think it's based on the Schmidt K-5 which is a great converter. The capacity seems to be higher than any Japanese converter I know other than the CON-70, and it's a joy to use with the large metal knob.
What I don't like:
- The converter rattles inside the barrel. I solved this by placing piece of paper inside that prevents the converter from touching the inside of the barrel directly. It's a non-issue now and the paper remains there indefinitely.
- The conical part of the blind cap is a bit sharp, there's a tiny bit of resin that should've been removed in the turning process. It can only be felt by running a finger over it
- This one is absolutely subjective: I'm not a fan of the barrel to section step-down. My fingers prefer a consistent surface with no significant protrusions. Thankfully, the section is rather long so most people won't care about this. Overall, I love this pen and it's become my daily writer since I got it."

The pen is beautiful and appears very well made. I love the feel of it in my hand, and it's a great weight. The blind cap is very handy, and the roller on the clip works great to help the pen go into a pocket. However, I feel that the fine nib is too scratchy and provides way too much feedback. I'm disappointed to the point of considering buying a medium or broad nib to continue using the pen. My wife said the same thing when she wrote with it. Also, as I move the pen around or grip it to unscrew the cap I can sometimes hear the converter twist knob rattle inside the barrel against the metal screw threads in the back of the barrel, where the blind cap screws on. I wish the pen had been constructed with a soft material on the inside diameter of metal screw thread piece to muffle the rattling sound, or had a tighter tolerance between that metal piece and the actual converter.

A souligner ! Bref, c'est une tres belle premiere expeience avec ce vendeur et il y en aura sans doute d'autres. G. Lodomez

I ordered this pen with a broad nib. The pen is really beautiful and the broad nib very smooth and wet. I ordered a separate medium nib but i had some issues of hard starts and skipping. I reported to the shop owner and he kindly asked me to send it back for checking. The broad nib is a little bit broader for my taste so i really hope I will get back a medium nib with no skipping and hesitating because the medium nib will be the one i will use at the end. If this is sorted out i will be extremely happy with my purchase.

My orders just arrived today! It is a beautiful pens and a swirl look of material is amazing. First I think I have ordered a silver trim. But it came with a gold trim. Wait! but I just like a gold trim in hand. Once I open a package it just stunning moment when that gold trim catch my eyes! The color of it is a little bit darker than a photo on the website. A feeling while writing is smooth but it has a bit feedback like a Platinum 3776. But its not a scratchy feeling at all. I have only one downside is it has a little scratch on a clip out of the box. First I think it is my fingerprints on it. I really recommend this pen and the Fontoplumo shop. I hope you will understand my poor English skills and hope its useful if you have radar on this pen. Thanks,

An attractive pen with good writing characteristics.

I really wanted to like this pen, but even though FontoPlumo gave it a quick test, as I began using it I had constant skips and hard starts. I've cleaned it several times and used different kinds of ink. Folks at FontoPlumo have been on vacation and I'm waiting for a response. I hope they can remedy the situation! Update: Customer Service from Frank was great and he shipped me a replacement nib/feed unit. Much better results although not perfect. Still some skipping at times, but at least it's usable now. I'll continue to try different inks and see what works best and may eventually need to send to a nibmeister. Based on my sample of two I'd say that the Leonardo nib/feeds aren't of the same quality as the rest of the pen, which are gorgeous, feel good in the hand, and when they're getting enough ink, write smoothly.

Can't go wrong with this pen. Beautiful resin & nib. Writes well out of the box. Good for small to medium-size hands. Good weight too.

The Leonardo Momento Zero Blue Positano is a very good looking, big pen. The resin material is of very high quality, and the blue positano colour is just fabulous. The medium steel nib writes smooth and perfectly out of the box. Even though the Leonardo is a big pen, it lies very comfortable and balanced in the hand. The writing experience is great. Very happy with my purchase and first class selling and delivery from Fontoplumo.

The MomentoZero is a very smooth writer with good ink capacity from the included Converter which is also Leonardo branded. I have two now, one with a Fine nib and the other with 1.5 stub and both write very well indeed.

This pen took my breath away! The color and depth of the acrylic is just gorgeous. And the medium steel nib is the smoothest writer in my collection. The service from Frank at Fontplumo was first class. This is my second Fontplumo purchase and it won't be my last. I will most definitely be adding to my Leonardo collection soon!

I received my Leonardo Momento Zero in Blue Positano acrylic several days ago and could not be more pleased. It is a stunning pen (the material really must be seen in person to be properly appreciated) and is presented and packaged thoughtfully. I chose the fine job, which writes excellently out of the box with no need for adjustment. I primarily use fountain pen optimized paper (Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Apica, etc.) so my impressions of the smoothness of the nib will relate mostly to the use of the pen on papers such as these. The nib is tuned well and the pen is a joy to use. Specifically, I will comment on how comfortable the section is

I recently purchased this pen with a stub nib. Wow! It is a beautiful pen and the lettering coming off the stub nib is equally beautiful. Everything about this pen is high quality... but at a relatively affordable price for what you get. I love it has a blind cap and I love the converter twister is in gold to match the rest of the furniture. The nib is super smooth with great ink flow. I'm glad I bought, This is my 2nd Fontoplumo pen... well packed. The first shipped and was delivered very quickly. This one was on backorder, so took a bit longer, but I was expecting that.

I really do like this pen. The color and materials are lovely. It's very well constructed. I purchased the EF nib, and it's an exceptionally smooth & consistent writer. It's my first blind cap, and I do love the feature. All these features, when combined with the VERY competitive price, make this an excellent purchase, and an every-day carry.

The Leonardo Momento Zero is a great example of fine Italian craftsmanship and design. The choice of materials and colors is perfect. The large nib performs well, as it glides across the page. It feels large in the hand, but not uncomfortable, even when posted. The only problem is suppressing the desire to collect more of the LMZ range The order was filled promptly and was packaged expertly. Even though this particular item was on back order, The total time from order to delivery was just under three weeks, from Delft to Boston, Massachusetts. Thanks, Frank, and thanks and congratulations to Salvatore Matrone, and his father Ciro - the designers and producers of this awesome new range.

Following the arrival of my Leonardo Momento Zero Positano Fountain Pen I received from Fontoplumo, and continuous use of it since, I can confirm that these pens offer an awful lot for a very reasonable price. Indeed, I have over 80 fountain pens in my collection, with many costing an awful lot more. But in terms of quality, writing experience and the whole package, the Leonardo is well up there with the best of them! The medium steel nib on my example is epic

This took awhile to receive since it was out of stock, but it was worth waiting for. Very attractive material with all the components matching in color and shade. The gold colored nib and trim make for a classy appearance, and it looks more costly than it actually is. I use a high hold but the threads are not sharp so it's very comfortable to grip, and being fairly lightweight it can be used for long periods without discomfort. My medium nib is very smooth and has a nice rather wet flow, and it simply glides across the paper, even the cheap varieties. I wish Leonardo would make a heavier oversized version of this pen, but I still highly recommend the Blue Positano.

This is such a lovely pen, you could just stare at it all day, I love the colour, and testing it on Rhodia paper, it writes just like a dream, not scratchy, did not notice any feedback with the steel nib, it is just lovely, a must have pen for those love a gorgeous looking pen that also writes smooth on paper. Now on to the next Leonardo pen purchase.

I recently purchased the Leonardo Momento Zero fountain pen with a broad nib. The pen is a beautiful blue color, feels well balanced in the hand and the broad nib is lovely to use with just the right amount of interaction between pen and paper. No skips or hard starts. In addition, the buying experience at Fontoplumo was excellent. Frank was very helpful, courteous and professional. I'm very happy with the pen and the service at Fontoplumo. Mark H

I recently bought a marvelous, blue fountain pen -- the Leonardo Momento Zero Positano -- from Frank (of Fontoplumo). He was helpful in the purchase. I hope to deal with Frank in the future.

The pen is beautiful, I will buy a new one. Great material, excellent ergonomics, smooth, soft and precise writing. Excellent service, the pen arrived quickly and with a beautiful gift wrapping and bag. Thank you

The color of this pen is amazing it makes me happy to hold it and look at it. I recommend that you clean this pen thoroughly before use. It skipped like crazy until Fontoplumo helped me out. I found that Akkerman inks reduce the skipping as well. It still skips at the start of a new word - but much less often. Fontoplumo is really helpful and responsive. I recommend them highly.

Placed on 08-06-2018

This is the kind of pen that makes you want to write by simply holding it. Manufacturing is flawless, size, weight and balance are optimal. I'm not sure where the nib comes from (feels like a Jowo) but it is well adjusted and smooth. If I really have to add a minus, must I (?), oh well, I'm afraid the somewhat stiff clip can break out of the cap when it's used on thick material like the leather in a well crafted pouch. I never use the clip anyway so for me personally there's no problem and the thin fabric of a shirt should be ok. Pricewise, it's already quite reasonable but it stands it's ground among pens that will cost more than double this amount. Highly recommended.
