Product description
The Párix series fountain pens represent the pinnacle of excellence at Ulpia. They stand out for their exclusive filling system, developed and manufactured in the Ulpia workshop in the Principality of Asturias.
The Ulpia Párix is distinguished by an unmistakable and characteristic design that is easily recognizable. The writing experience with this pen is extremely rewarding thanks to its unique design, which avoids any interference with the grip. In addition, the piston at the back of the pen ensures perfect balance in the hand.
It is a fountain pen made entirely in Spain with a distinctive and unique design.
The body and cap are made of the best quality ebonite. Ebonite is vulcanized natural rubber known for its special shine and warm touch and is especially prized by collectors. It is very resistant and has been used in fountain pens since the late 19th century.
The three distinctive elements of the Ulpia Párix (ring, piston and clip) are handmade by Ulpia. Experienced craftsmen transform copper bars and plates into true works of art. After a minimum of six manual polishing processes, they are dipped in 24-carat gold or palladium and hand-engraved with a diamond point.
The nib, an essential obertive part, is made of 18-karat gold and decorated with the Ulpia emblems. It is then dipped in a mixture of platinum and 18-carat gold, which gives it its characteristic two-tone tone. This versatile point is available in different thicknesses.
Each fountain pen undergoes rigorous testing to ensure flawless writing performance and comes with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
The “Párix” filling system is a new and simple method. It has been developed and manufactured exclusively by Ulpia.
It consists of a removable rear plunger that is filled with ink and reinserted into the pen body. The Parix model fountain pens, made exclusively of ebonite, contain this unique feature.
With a capacity of more than 2 ml of ink and the intuitive refill, it allows long writing sessions and effective cleaning of the pen.
Tips for filling:
1: The cap should be unscrewed and the tip pointing upwards.
2: The piston is always pulled in and out of the pen in a circular motion.
3: The recommended filling is up to the first rubber of the piston.
