Product description

It was in 1910 that Kaweco first produced a Liliput fountain pen, at that time made out of ebonite. After that came the remake of this series is made of solid aluminium and avalable as a fountain pen with steel nib and a ballpoint pen. Now there is this version in copper. Only 97 mm long when closed, the Liliput is one of the smallest fountain pens for standard ink cartridges. As the copper is not coated, it will develop a patina over time. In case you'd not want that, it can be easily polished.

I already owned the brass version of this pen but have to say I prefer the patina of the copper one infinitely more. It's simply beautiful and enchanting with shades of blues and purples and magentas that give it a very distinct personality. I've heard some people say the uncoated metal makes their fingers smell like pennies but personally I have not observed anything like this happening. The weight and the balance are pleasant to hold in the hand especially if your hands are on the smaller side.

The only thing that's ever bothered me about the lilliput is how many turns it takes to post so it's definitely not one for quick draw notes on the go. I kinda get around this by pairing it with the capless ballpoint pen option and that combination works well and doesn't take all that much space either.

I have one Liliput Aluminum Black, however this copper Liliput is very great weight, more balance. Since it's copper and no coating, so the patina is very fast develop ... I love it, very beautiful ...Again, Thanks Fontoplumo for very great services
