The Meisterstück Solitaire Calligraphy pen has a metal body with a golden leaf, which is applied by hand, after which the pen is completed with transparent lacquer. On each pen, the gold leaf will be different, what makes each pen unique.
The trim of the pen is ruthenium and the nib on this pen is the new, flexible, nib. The development is based on the successfull Montblanc pens from the 1950's. The line variation is achieved by light pressure and starts at EF (0.3mm) and goes up to BB (1.6mm).
The name Meisterstück was first used for a Montblanc pen in 1924 and represents a masterpiece of a pen. These pens have 18 carat gold nibs and a piston filling mechanism.
