K. Placed on 15-05-2023 Aurora Optima are good pens generally. Good weight, balance in hand etc. Visually appealing. This 'Viola' purple auroloide is identical to the 888 Series planets series Nebulosa if you missed that Aurora 88 limited edition. You may find the feature of the "reserve tank" unique to Aurora piston mechanisms annoying to clean out if you change difficult inks frequently. I have not been lucky with Aurora nibs so I used Fontoplumo's nib tuning service and had a 'B' nib ground to a stub, which is perfect. I strongly advise anyone buying pens to at least opt for a nib tune if you don't want a special nib grind. Service from Fontoplumo was perfect as always.
