Product description

It was in 1910 that Kaweco first produced a Liliput fountain pen, at that time made out of ebonite. After that came the remake of this series is made of solid aluminium and avalable as a fountain pen with steel nib and a ballpoint pen. Now there is this version in solid brass. Only 97 mm long when closed, the Liliput is one of the smallest fountain pens for standard ink cartridges. As the brass is not coated, it will develop a patina over time. In case you'd not want that, it can be easily polished.

It's a great little pen. Very smooth M nib with a good ink flow, well balanced, the brass gives it a nice weight and it looks cool! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a small, reliable pen.

This is my go-to pocket pen in a F point. I carry it every day in my pocket and the brass has some weight to it and it gets much better looking as it picks up patina with age. I recommend ANY Kaweco pen. Just be sure to flush the pen prior to use or rub some rubbing alcohol on the point to get the grease off prior to the first use. I have a syringe bulb. The kind used in hospitals on babies. I use that to flush the pen when the cartridge runs out. The cartridges can be refilled with a syringe with any of your favorite inks. I sometimes wrap teflon tape around where the cartridge ends and the threads to the nib section begin, just to make sure it never leaks in my pocket. I have never had any problem with Kaweco AL Sports or the Liliputs and the leaking I had on my Kaweco Ice just required a little bit of silicon grease where the nib unit screws into the nib housing. The fact that you can always get a replacement nib unit makes these some of the best pens for the money.
