In the 17th century, Tsunanori Maeda, the fuedal lord of the Kaga Domain, collected a series of historically important craftsmanship techniques now referred to as Hyakko-Hisho. To honor the artwork and creativity of this original period, Taccia has created the Hyakko-Hisho Limited Edition Collection to pay homage to the history and tradition of this celebrated period.
Each fountain pen is made by hand in their Urushi studio in Wajima, enhancing traditional inlay techniques with precious metals and lacquer.
To blend the old with the new, each fountain pen comes tted with a Japanese 18K gold nib, over a selection of individually polished Ebonite barrels.
And to truly bring historical craftsmanship into your hand, each series is limited and signed by their maki-e artisan.
