Product description
Radius Superior Autarchica fountain pen in Vernazza Green is equipped with a steel nib and silvercolor trim..
The name Autarchica refers to the time in the Second World War when the pens in many European countries were provided with steel nibs, instead of gold, because gold was reserved by the governments for the war efforts and could not be used for articles such as pens.
The Radius Superior is inspired by the Superior model of the 1930's and features a piston filling mechanism and 14k gold nib.
The five colors are inspired by the Cinque Terre, part of the UNESCO world heritage, five villages along the Italian coast.
Radius started in the 1930s and the pens are highly prized until now. Not much is known about it after the 1930s, but luckily it is now back! With roots and design as in the past, with modern materials and technology.
