The Mind ink was motivated by Natsume Soseki's masterpiece, The Mind, darker than his other works. The ink expresses the duality and naivety within the teacher character, who is seemingly revered by everyone. The Mind ink is a color separation ink which in which the inks color separates as it dries. When the dark pastel violet base color dries, the yellow within the ink is separated from the violet and reveals it's color. It seems like single tone violet ink at first, but once the ink seeps through paper and the ink dries, the color splits.
