The name Meisterstück was first used for a Montblanc pen in 1924 and represents a masterpiece of a pen. Rollerball pen in black resin with red gold plated trim.
The first Calligraphy ink, called Indian Ink or “Encre de Chine”, was invented in Asia in mid-3000 BC. It was a permanent and opaque ink from one of the oldest and most durable pigments: carbon black. From this, Montblanc was inspired to develop the Elixir Calligraphy Collection, a specific permanent ink, perfect for fountain pens.
It contains pure and refined natural dyes from plants and minerals.
