Sailor King Of Pens Naginata Togi Umesaki fountain pen
Description
Crafted from richly colored ebonite, the limited edition Sailor King Of Pens Naginata Togi Umesaki fountain pen is a collector’s masterpiece, with only 500 units produced worldwide. It showcases Sailor’s remarkable 21K gold King Of Pens Naginata Togi nib, renowned for its smooth, precise writing experience and unique curvature that enhances line variation. The pen’s design draws inspiration from Hiroshige Utagawa’s iconic "Plum Estate in Kameido," part of the "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo," brought to life through the traditional Chirashi technique for refined yet dynamic aesthetics. Each pen carries an individual serial number, ensuring exclusivity. The ebonite body offers a warm, tactile feel, perfectly complementing the nib’s effortless glide, making this pen both a functional tool and an exquisite work of art.
Regarded highly by the world, as evident in Vincent van Gogh's reproduction "Flowering Plum Tree", we brought the image to life with UMESAKI. Engraved with a serial number, each piece is unique. You won't find the same anywhere in the world. Indulge in the pleasing fit of beautiful ebonite at your fingertips and enjoy the exclusive experience of gliding across paper as you write with our signature Naginata Togi nib.
Hiroshige Utagawa (1797-1858)
Renowned Ukiyo-e artist of latter Edo period. Born in Edo (present-day Tokyo) in 1797, he trained in the Utagawa school of Ukiyo-e art, beginning with portraits of Kabuki actors and Samurai warriors. Later on in his career, he was influenced by Hokusai Katsushika and turned to landscape portrayal.
His lyrical expressions of landscapes published in compilations such as “The 53 Stations of Tokaido”, “The 69 Stations of Kisokaido” and “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo”, created a new genre of Ukiyo-e art.
