De Kaweco sport vulpennen gebruik ik al heel lang voor Urban Sketching. Compact, stevig, mooi gemaakt, fijne penpunt. Enige nadeel: de converters kunnen niet groot zijn. Voor watervaste inkt is een converter noodzaak. Hoe fijn is het nu om een Kaweco te hebben met piston vulsysteem! Voor mijn toepassing ideaal, en ook nog ns met de bekende built quality van Kaweco! Top!

I've wanted a small fountain pen for a long time, but since I buy and use only such pens which have an integrated filling system, the only one I previously found (and bought) was the Montblanc Heritage - a fabulous pen, but its relatively large weight and priciness prevented me from seeing it as a daily writer. So when i learned that Kaweco released their Sport model with a piston filling mechanism, I knew I had to get one (I wasn't aware at the time that an earlier self-filling model had existed).
The pen checks all the right boxes for me - it's really light and small, so it fits into even quite small shirt pockets. It writes smoothly and reliably. The filling mechanism works great, and the ink window is as useful as it should be. I'm not small handed, but I often find myself writing with it comfortably even without posting the cap.
The metallic finish is awesome - with an enjoyable tactile feel to it. I also like the fact that the clip is "permanently" mounted on the cap - as it is in "normal"-sized pens.
