A wonderful pen that doesn't fall short of expectation. A classic which delievers in both elegance and functionality.

On design aesthetics and construction materials the MB 149 is simply stunning. It looks premium and feels premium as well, with a visualy sophisticated style. Many well deserved praises on this department.

Yet while looks are amazing, writing with the pen is even better: The #9 nib writing fluidly and effortlessly with it's large frame providing a good grip suitable for large writing sessions. Weight is no issue at all as it is perfectly balanced. More than once I wanted to keep on writing with this pen after finishing my intended work (and actually did continue!) which is a very satisfying sentiment - it is the point you know you get your money's worth.

I purchased the Rose gold accent pen, as it is very subtle and completely work appropriate, just to make it a bit different from all my other pens and perhaps a bit more special.

Lastly it would be an omission not to mention tha speedy delivery of Fontoplumo team. The pen was ready for pickup within the hour and was delivered within 1 working day across Europe.

What can I say: I am a very happy customer.

Super-elegant, simple yet sophisticated design. Large, meticulously crafted nib with perfectly aligned tines and exactly positioned feed. Absolute classics in composition of black resin and gold accents. A sense of comfort and full control – even in the middle-sized hand (like mine). Impeccable smooth writing experience – these all are the features of Montblanc one forty-nine. And that is why any MB writing tool is timeless, and, for example, iPhone is not.
