Yes, I finally found my grail pen! Perfection in every aspect: nib size 15, nib beautiful Fine, weight, balance, size and looks!! Writes excactly superb right out of the box, and actually beyond my expectations! So happy I canceled a nibmeister to change a F to a EF, it wasn’t nessecary at all, really remarkeble perfection!

Only disadvantage is now I’m finished buying new pens with this Pilot 845 Urushi!! Totally HAPPY and grateful!!

The Pilot Custom 845 Urushi is a classic flat top shape. Its length is the same as a Pelikan M800, but it is slightly smaller in diameter. It is flawless in fit and finish. The #15 18Kt Pilot nibs are wonderful writers - very slightly springy rather than nail-like. It would be nice if this model came with the full range of Pilot #15 nibs.

I ordered mine with a BB nib and a custom cursive italic grind, and, as usual, the work done by Fontoplumo's "Nib whisperer" is excellent.
