Lamy Safari Special Editions from newest to older.

In this overview we list all the LAMY safari special editions which were at one point available through Fontoplumo and or our I Need A Pen section. We listed the ones we once offered since we started to carry Lamy in 2013 and it contains editions which were worldwide available, but also some regional exclusive ones which we have been able to offer locally.

2025 September LAMY safari Multicolor set

This is a set of an all white (with silver color steel nib) and all black, with black color steel nib) safari fountain pen, including 7 exchangeable section rings, what allows you to change the look of the pen, based on your mood of the day, or general prefference. The rings come in the colors white and black (pre installed on the pens) green, yellow, orange. mango red and turquoise.

2025 September LAMY safari x Kuromi

This black safari with pink clip and cap top is adorned by a lovely print on the pen and it comes in a special box, loaded with Kuromi style goodies. Made for Asia and we have secured a few in order to supply some locally for the fans.

2025 – 2 special editions, this time two colors a matte and a glossy pen in 2 distinct colors

LAMY Safari dusk in a glossy dark blue / purple abs with the cap top and clip in the same color and a silver color nib.

LAMY Safari sunset is a matte abs in a coral like color. The clip and cap top are in the same color and the pen is fitted with a silver color nib.

2024 - November, various special edition LAMY Safari pens came in
From top to bottom, left to right:
- A special edition dating all the way back to 2006 and hard to find, the LAMY Safari light blue with a red clip, glossy ABS and red top in the cap
- The Safari made for Itoya in Japan, this is their second special editon, in dark blue ABS and a copper clip, the Safari Copper 02
- Three Safari pens from the Candy range, which was a special edition from 2022, but these have different clips, the aquamarine with a red clip, the mango with a violet clip and the violet with a mango clip. All supplied in a matching plastic case.

2024- October LAMY safari white with red clip, in a presentation case
This white safari has been available in various global regions, but this one in particular comes with a white pencase and storage box.

2024 - October LAMY safari darkgreen
This is a special edition, made for the Asian market. Possibly the pen was originally made for Starbucks but later offered at stores, in this special set complete with converter, cartridges and a matching pen case, all in a dark green metal box which holds them all.
Available at Fontoplumo with Fine and Medium nib options (while stock lastst)

2024 - September LAMY Safari steel black
This is a new color in the standard lineup. The color has a somewhat more blue hue compared to the safari umbra. The ABS is also matt and it has a black clip and nib.
The pen comes as fountain pen with extra fine, fine, medium, broad and left handed nib options and is also available as roller pen, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil with 0,5mm lead.

2024 - June LAMY Safari song dynasty
This special edition is called sung dynasty and comes in an azure sky and white jade edition.
Both are packed in a very nice box and come with a matching pencase and converter.

2024 - June LAMY safari cherry blossom and pina colada
In 2024, for the first time ever, LAMY has indroduced a SUMMER special edition in the safari lineup.
These are available in a rather limited quantity only and is expected to return yearly, with different colors each time.
The cherry blossom is a soft pink, glossy abs with deep pink clip, section and cap top cross.
The pina colada is a soft glossy green abs with yellow clip, section and cap top cross.
Available with Medium nibs only and also as a roller and ballpoint pen.

2024 - April LAMY safari field green
This edition is a special edition, made for the Japanese market and is / was also available in South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan.
The matte green is a special color, that together with the gold colored clip and black clip makes this a very desireable pen.

2024 – 2 special editions, this time two colors and each with the section and top cross in a different color then the body and cap.

LAMY Safari violet-blackberry in a glossy abs with purple cap and body, violet section and top cross and also, black clip and nib.

2023 – 3 special editions, the series is called deelite and contains three colors.

These editions became part of the regular lineup in 2024 and a mechanical pencil is to be introduced in June.

A special edition for the Asian and American market the white LAMY safari with a black clip and a blue LAMY safari with a red clip.

Pokemon editions for the Chinese market, these were special colors with the clip and top cross in contrasting colors. The pens came in a beautiful case with Pokemon figurines.

Another Minions edition, in a wonderful case for your desk, made for the Chinese market.

2022 – 2 special editions, both in a matt abs and matching color clip and top cross:

LAMY Safari Strawberry in a matt red abs with red clip

A Special edition for the Chinese market in matt red with black clip and a special nib which lightly resembles and architect nib, for wider horizontal and thinner vertical lines. Local editions which were made for the Asian market, and available through Fontoplumo in a limited quantity.

2021 – this year goes all the way back to the 2 very first colors of the safari, the series is called Original and it brings us the colors

2020 – 3 special colors in the safari candy series I believe this is the first time LAMY made the special edition in multiple colors and each with the body, top cross and clip in matching colors.
