When Sailor introduced their Ink Studio line, they established an ambitious portfolio of 100 distinct colors, positioning themselves as a leader in ink diversity and creative expression. Following a minor refinement in 2021, in which 3 colors were replaced to optimize the collection, the line achieved a stable state that remained unchanged for an extended period.

However, a significant restructuring is now underway. Sailor has announced that 60 colors will be discontinued while 10 new will be introduced in June. This strategic realignment, though substantial, will maintain an impressive selection of 50 colors within the Ink Studio range.

This transition reflects Sailor's commitment to refining their ink portfolio based on market demand, production efficiency, and the evolving preferences of fountain pen enthusiasts. The discontinuation of certain shades, while potentially disappointing to some users of specific colors, allows the company to focus resources on developing new formulations and maintaining the exceptional quality standards that define the Ink Studio line.

Below you will find a comprehensive list of the colors being discontinued, accompanied by a visual reference showing the current palette and identifying which shades will be phased out (by a red cross on the left side).
