The 3rd edition of the Dutch Pen Show (DPS) took place Sunday 12 June in Utrecht the Netherlands. The show was fully sold out with 500 visitors and many vendors from across Europe.

The year 2022 is a year of many things and one of which is our 10th Anniversary. It feels only little time ago that we decided start a new hobby project and registered Fontoplumo at the Chambers of Commerce.
The hobby project grew out to something much larger and I am very happy to be able and do this successfully.

There are five colors of the pen made and the one in green ebonite is made exclusively for Fontoplumo.
The 2021 edition has another guilloche pattern compared to the previous edition, a revised cap band and section and is slightly longer.

As a pen user myself, this summer had two wonderful gifts in store for me.

First
After not having been able to go last year, we were very excited to go back to Portugal this summer. We have visited Portugal a few times before and when there we also take a day to visit the capital, Lisbon. It is a bit over an hour’s drive by public transport and a wonderful city to visit.

A beautiful ocean sunset at the end of the day, marking the passage of time and showing the promise of a new tomorrow at dawn. The setting sun reflected on the water signifies change and transformation and reminds us that everything in life has an ending.

The Memories of Delft pen was born out of a collaboration between Holthinrichs Watches and Fontoplumo, both located in Delft, the Netherlands. Just like the pen’s abstract artwork itself, the two brands cherishing beauty got together organically.
The graphic design embodies the artisanal history of Delft, which is modernized on the dial of a Holthinrichswatch, and is reminiscent to the natural flow of ink from a fountain pen.

Kilk has been making pens in exclusive designs for some years already and in 2020, on expanding the team, a standard model was added to the assortment, the Epigram. With working with a standard model, they could make a larger quantity of pens at a price appealing to a larger group of people.
