Description
The Delta Indigenous People edition fountain pen for 2026 is dedicated to the Bajau people.
The Bajau, or Sama-Bajau, are an indigenous Southeast Asian maritime group often called "Sea Nomads" or "Sea Gypsies," traditionally living on boats (lepa-lepa) or stilt houses in the waters between Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Renowned for their incredible freediving skills, they can hold their breath for over 13 minutes, diving to 30+ meters to fish.
This inspired the details on the pen, as the clip, which is the result of the studie of the shape of the Lepa, the life tool par excellence of the Bajau population. The metal band on the body represents an ornamental motif very present on Bajau costumes and the chromatic gradation of the resin are representative of the colors and costumes. The nib features the shape of a typical Bajau women's headdress.
The pen is limited to 388 pieces.
