Description
Located in Kyu-kyoryuchi (former foreign settlement), the Kobe City Museum is a neo-classical building that was built in 1935 and converted from the former Yokohama Specie Bank Kobe Branch. It is designated as a registered tangible cultural property of Japan as one of the masterpieces of the early Showa era. The museum's collection consists of archaeological and historical materials such as the Sakuragaoka Dotaku and Dotaku Group (National Treasures), art materials such as Nanban Koge art, glass crafts, and old map materials.
"City Museum Gray" was born as a color suitable for expressing museums with the theme of domestic and international cultural exchange.
Please enjoy the calming warm gray that can be seen in the exterior of the building.
Please enjoy the full-bodied maroon.
Kobe inks are made for Nagasawa stationary, which is based in Kobe.
