This is my first Leonardo pen ... a brand I didn't know much about before. I was in for a very positive surprise -- the stainless steel nib writes like a dream, and does actually lay down a FINE line. The pen is well balanced. Strangely enough it feels good both posted and unposted. Love the yellow colour.

Although I'd never written with a Leonardo pen, I jumped on this model because the color grabbed me. After writing with the pen for a month, I have mixed feelings. On the plus side, the pen is very well made. It feels more substantial than my Sailor or Edison pens, and I love the little details such as the rollerball on the clip and the screw-in base that gives easy access to the converter twist. On the down side, the nib and feed keep me from loving the pen. The nib is surprisingly springy for a steel nib, and this makes my fine nib act more like a medium. The feed is a hard starter whenever I've changed colors. I may have the pen adjusted to meet my expectations more fully.
