The MB 146 broad nib is buttery smooth as expected. (No skipping or baby bottom so far. I will keep my finger crossed) The parcel is very well packed with a small written card. Superb service as always!

I had heard tha the Montblanc quality nowadays had decreased. It was a very good brand in the past but now is not the same. I bought my first Montblanc almost 30 years ago (Model 144) and it is an exelent pen. The nib of the Montblanc 146 (Fine) is quite good regarding the performance, but feedbacky. The problem with the pen is the quality of the construction: Once you screw the body (barrel) of the pen in the cap, it remains loose, not well tighted. You can move the cap with your fingers because it's loose not the way. I haven't seen this issue in any of my more than 50 fountain pens. I'm very dissappointed with such a prestigeous brand. I've heard that Montblanc has been purchased by a chiness Company. May be that's the reason. You can get a much better pen for the half of the price: Sailor K.O.P., i.e.
