Sailor Pro Gear Cocktail III Lavender Margarita vulpen

After my unsuccessful hunt for America's exclusive Sailor Pro Gear model Too Hot Habanero, I decided to go for the latest Cocktail III Lavender Margarita fountain pen. The nib is the same 21k gold as in the regular size Too Hot Habanero, with the only difference that the spicy model has a great looking bi-color nib, while Lavender Margarita has rhodium finished nib. This is the first Sailor pen in my collection. I decided to go for M nib.
The pen writes beautifully from the box. My first impressions was, that it has some nice feel of feedback. If compared to my Platinum Century #3776 (M nib) smooth writers, the Sailor nib is stiffer and resembles writing with 1H or 2H pencils, while Platinum nib leans rather to HB or even softer 1B pencil feedback. Anyway, Sailor brought back some nice memories from old times in my uni, when I had to practice drawing techniques of descriptive geometry, using a set of pencils with various hardness grades.
I like matching the ink color with my pen, so the shortlist for filling up my Sailor included: 1/ J.Herbin 'Violette Pensee' 2/ Robert Oster 'Bishop to King’ and 3/ Graf von Faber-Castell 'Violet Blue’. It turned out the GvFC 'Violet Blue” was the perfect match for the pen.
